Some of our projects are ambitious but we have faith in the power of social media to raise awareness of the needs of the children, and continually widen the circle of friends willing and motivated to make a difference in their lives.
The projects that are listed here respond to real needs identified by staff and volunteers at the centres. Some are short-term; others are designed for long-term benefit and need a long-term commitment of funds to succeed.
How we work
We operate on the bases of connections and trust between old and new friends. Typically, we use trusted friends within the circle to collect and pass on money to the Vũng Tàu representative of the French association Pour les Enfants des Rizières (APER), which is authorised by the Vietnamese Government to operate in Vietnam as a foreign non-governmental organisation.A collective receipt is issued by APER and the individual contributions (first names only) are recorded on this website.
What you can do
Our number one hope is that you will contribute financially to the projects that are promoted on this website. You can do this in many ways:

- hold an awareness/fundraising event, e.g. a party, a market stall, a games night
- become a follower or member of this blog - that way when your friends visit the blog they know that you are a supporter
